Well I’ve just got back from a long tedious client meeting out at Lane Cove…
As many who know me as a Mistress are unaware, I have a previous profession as a consultant. When I left working in agency (last one a UK based international) to go out on my own, I looked for another revenue stream – and turned my passion into a second profession….
That said – it was the hard yards for some time as an apprentice as Salon Kittys…
So anyway – the balance between Suit-chick and Mistress is a fine one, I started out doing nearly all consulting with Mistressing on the side and then moved very strongly in the opposite direction – almost all Mistressing…
But since getting a 3 month contract with a major company back in July, I’ve been building up the consultant side of my life again. (note the disparity – 3 month contract – hey, but it’s nearly November – they still need me but are going month to month now).
So there I was in a meeting today – listening to stuff I don’t really need to know but also making sure that I was going to be adding value by grabbing work passing by – “Do you want me to action that” Yes they say – so I secure some more billable hours!
I often wonder what I would do if a client or other “professional” contact were to turn up at Salon Kittys… maybe like Superman and Clark Kent they wouldn’t recognise me with my corset (instead of glasses). Oh well, if I really cared so much about the opinion of others I wouldn’t be the person that I am!
So anyway – lots of work to do…
