Well I took a bad gamble yesterday – I was at Petersham bottle shop buying a beautiful bottle of Penfolds Bin 128 (1994) when my eye was attracted by a rummage bin of various strange things on sale near the front door…
I bought a strange Italian bottle – hoping it would be tasty…. but no – very odd and not nice at all. It almost tasted like some weird port-like substance. Though I must admit to not really trying more than a sip!
I had a day off today – well sort of off anyway – I did some banking and shopping and stuff. I’ve even won my first ever auction on ebay!
Busy weekend ahead – I was tempted to go to Hellfire tonight, but being at the airport for a 6.15 flight combined with sessions tomorrow and the cold weather have conspired to keep me at home watching episodes of Firefly on DVD. Even if the red wine I bought was a bust 😉
