We’re already a week into the new year and I’m thinking about all the exciting changes and incredible experiences I had in 2023.
Last year was definitely an important milestone year. I celebrated 30 years in the FemDom/ BDSM community and 20 years owning my own dungeon. This year I am no longer regularly renting my dungeon to other ladies – which is very refreshing after having various hirers and apprentices over the years. It was a privilege to give some incredible Mistresses an opportunity to train with me and practise outside of the house system, but times have changed and most professional kink now takes place in bedrooms. My style of play really requires the immersive intensity of several different play zones and a large array of equipment – particularly for the extended and multi-day sessions I specialise in.
Happily this means there is greater potential for visiting Mistresses and I’m hoping to welcome more of my beautiful interstate and overseas friends. Mistress Gabrielle of Adelaide is planning regular visits and we’ve already had some amazing double sessions.
In 2023 I met some fabulous submissives, spankos and slaves and deepened my connection to others. I travelled to the US (twice), Mexico and the UK as well as some incredible trips in Australia including the breathtaking experience of being on Aṉangu country to visit Uluṟu and Kata Tjuṯa.
There was lots of art – including the incredible James Turrell installation in Huston, Louise Bourgeois at the Art Gallery of NSW and Alexander McQueen in Melbourne as well as other wonderful gallery and public art visits in various cities on my travels to London, New York and at home here in Sydney.
I welcomed a new member of my animal family with a long awaited puppy flying in from her interstate breeders and also said farewell to another with my beautiful python Lily passing away at over 20 years old.
Things have definitely been a lot quieter on social media than in previous years… I have gone through times previously where I’m not as motivated to post – and of course the change from Twitter to X has affected a lot of people across different areas, not just the FemDom community. It gets tiring looking at new social media platforms and trying to decide how much effort to put in, particularly when one can be removed or shadowbanned at any moment. I will definitely be focussing on updating my blog and sending my newsletter out regularly.
There are some exciting plans in the works from new equipment to new projects and of course some travel and shopping and more intense and fun experiences in my totally private playground.
