Hard to believe it’s already been two months since I was in Athens totally immersed in the ultimate experience of pure FemDom power, elegance and control. Created by Mistress Alexandra Balance with Ariana Chevalier the FemDom Gala brought together an astonishing rollcall of Mistresses, Dominas, Goddesses and more from all over the world in an absolute centering and celebration of Female power and dominance in all its forms.
With three decades in the FemDom and wider kink communities I’ve attended a lot of events over the years from the fabled Salon Kittys Mistress parties to underground fetish warehouse raves, the o/g Leather Pride Inquisition and of course DomCon LA. The FemDom Gala was something completely different… I’ve never encountered an environment that lived and breathed FemDom in this way. Most events, even those which are nominally FemDom are open to the wider kink community. Which sounds fantastic until you’re attending a play party at which there are as many or more M/f couples as F/m. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that” to quote Seinfeld but to be honest it can be a bit off putting at times.
Mistress Alexandra and her incredible team of colleagues and devoted submissives have created The Omega Compound a unique environment perfect for this experience. From the spacious terrace and play areas to the ranks of cells where the well trained subs and slaves live during the event every element is perfectly curated to ensure that all Dommes and devotees attending feel the outside world disappear.
During the days the gorgeous Aegean sunshine and blue skies provided a backdrop for filming, workshops and training, while the warm breeze in the evenings allowed the festivities to envelop us all. The Dominant Women who attended demonstrated the true power in diversity and sisterhood with each Lady bringing her own unique perspective on Kink with an incredible range of ages, specialities and fetishes. We came from many different regions, cultures and backgrounds and were all united in uplifting each other.
On the other side of this priceless coin were the submissive men. It was the demeanour and behaviour of each that helped this be so unforgettable. It’s easy to forget formal protocol, particularly when not under a lady’s direct care and control – but the Gala created a framework of FemDom built from respect. Some attended alongside the Mistress they already serve, but for others there were options of attending alone or as a service submissive, filming sub or being a locked-in jail sub. The latter, an immersive experience that gave male subs the opportunity to live as owned property of the Omega Compound and be included in all aspects of the Gala from filming days to the beautiful ceremonies and performances.
I was honored at two separate award ceremonies during the Gala – I was presented with The Femdom Icon Award by Ariana Chevalier as well as a Lifetime Achievement award from Goddess Phoenix’s Ambassadors of Kink. I feel both humble and proud to have received these and to be standing alongside some absolute titans of the industry.
I’m already starting to plan for next year – this time it will be even bigger and better!
